While the KAT is away...

8/27/09:  I had to run off to NC to help my sister pack up her house but that did not stop progress (too much anyway) at the house...  Poor Jeff (and all the guys) had to wait patiently while I looked at pictures sent via email trying to imagine the placement of the fire pit...these men have all been well trained (by their wives I assume)...no one would make a move until I gave the final okay LOL!  The bucket in the picture was placed to indicate the center of the pit...

In addition to final grading, pit and border placement, Garrett and his crew removed an old wood retaining wall below the deck stairs that is going to be replaced with a nicer stone faced wall.

At this point in the day it had started raining and got too muddy for work to continue so luckily I didn't miss too much...
